Neptune Transits to Natal Pluto

Neptune Transits to Natal Pluto

By Corinne Lane     7 Comments

When Neptune transits your natal Pluto, many things in your life will stop weighing your down, and you’ll move to a new level. It is a period of subtle but very important psychological changes, with consequences and many internal changes of values.

It’s a good time to get in touch with any obsessions and compulsions, and see how much power they have over your life. It is also when latent paranormal powers can come out to cause more obsessions or to break the strength they have over your life and crystallize your higher self.

Psychological analysis and psychotherapy are very advantageous, since all the psychological forces arise to help you channel them properly. If well used, this transit can dissolve past compulsive behaviors.

Transit Neptune Conjunct Natal Pluto

The transit of Neptune conjunct natal Pluto has not occurred since 1890.

Transit Neptune Trine Natal Pluto, or Transit Neptune Sextile Natal Pluto

Transiting Neptune trine, or sextile, to your natal Pluto, is a new start. Some aspect of your life will pass, leaving room for a new level of values and consciousness to begin. This transit is not difficult, you simply abandon old behaviors that no longer work.

You are in the midst of important social changes around you, where you see many beliefs and opinions that are changing in the people of your generation. There is an interest in exploring more fully the possibilities of the human mind and understanding how the subconscious takes over our actions.

You want to expand your consciousness and learn all the secrets of the universe. It’s an excellent time for psychotherapy or bioenergetics or anything that helps you gain self-mastery. You’ll grow immensely on the inside and deepen your understanding of the universe.

Your soul-searching reaches an intensity that it’s never reached before, and you learn powerful new things. You’re more in touch with your deepest psychological drives. You can make mental changes that favor individual and spiritual growth. You may be involved in groups that have a greater interest in understanding and unearthing unconscious problems to find solutions that are social as well as individual. If you were previously involved in research, an important discovery is very likely.

Transit Neptune Square Natal Pluto

This description applies for any of these transits:

Transiting Neptune square to your natal Pluto, is a time of subtle psychological changes, but they can have very dramatic consequences. The change is internal. You feel considerable tension, since pressures and compulsions that you did not recognize before now emerge.

Many things that you had not previously expressed come out now. These can be hidden talents or negative obsessions and compulsions. Anything that was repressed before, wants to come out now. You’re fed up with anything that tried to subconsciously control you. You may want to destroy anything that stands in the way of the ideal life that you desire. Issues that were important before are no longer.

This is an excellent time for therapy or counseling so that you can release these energies in a positive way through some creative outlet. On the other hand, if you suppress these energies, or release them in negative ways such as exploding or burning bridges, you’ll feel the destruction deeply.

If you notice that others are secretly against you, it can sometimes be a reflection of your own negative energy. We often acquire enemies because we do not allow a direct confrontation to take place, and then they become a secret enemy. This is a reflection of those aspects of ourselves that we do not directly confront. The only solution will be to confront those things.

Transit Neptune Quincunx Natal Pluto

Transiting Neptune Quincunx Natal Pluto, is a time of subtle and irrevocable psychological changes caused by forces outside of your control. The change is internal but it can have very dramatic consequences. You feel considerable tension, since pressures and compulsions that you did not recognize before now emerge.

Transit Neptune Opposite Natal Pluto

You may be confronted with unwelcome changes. People, things or circumstances that you’re accustomed to, may be removed from your life. You may not understand everything clearly, so avoid making commitments to others. Things are not what they seem.

This transit can reveal things about yourself that you never realized before, or had perhaps denied because you thought they were bad or negative. Actually, these truths that are now revealed have a positive energy, if you’re willing to accept them. There is possibility of psychological growth if you can resist the temptation to stay in denial. This period will show you a spiritual dimension that opens horizons that you could never have imagined before.

  1. Could it possibly signal the death of a family member?

    • I thought the same. Example: The 11th house is the 8th of the 4th house and the 4th house would be the house of the parent of the same sex. When it comes to death the 8th house needs to be affected. If Pluto is in the 11th house of the birth chart and Neptune is transiting Pluto, it could indeed mean the death of a woman’s mother or a man’s father.

    • Which one? Which aspect? I don’t know about the hard aspects to Neptune by transit but it could be the 8th house, not sure about house 11 of friendships, but Neptune itself is not the death planet. with the opposition transits it could signify endings but I don’t know about the actual death of somebody. Neptune can also mean the father, and also the fourth house. it depends on the unique chart, so it’s to nebulous no pun to say.

  2. GEEKYGUY on said:

Back in the 19th century the composer Robert Schumann (who suffered from depression) tried to kill himself by throwing himself into the Rhein when transiting Neptune was on his natal Pluto (a transit that probably won’t happen again for at least another century).

It is understandable that for unhappy people this transit could mean suicidal idealation since the planet of escapism (Neptune) is touching the planet of death (Pluto).

I would imagine that a positive manifestation of it would be learning to forgive, and the healing of old wounds and resentments.

  3. Neptune is in the 12th house at the moment.. So I think to make our remarks be understandable, we should not oersonise the aspect from our natal chats not unless you are asking a question.
Neptune transits in pisces and that’s my 7th house opposite my natal pluto in Virgo (1st). I would predict that there can be a death of a love life on me but there will be as well a
deep empowerment of the same before the transit passes my plutos degree.
