Our Commitment To Privacy

At Astrolibrary, we recognize that privacy of your personal information is important. We have always been serious about privacy, not because of any government requirements, but because we have always recognized the especially sensitive nature of the type of data that we collect, that is, birth data. We have always taken steps to ensure the confidentiality of the information that we collect. We never sell or share your birth data or email address with any third parties. We are committed to privacy.

Here is information on what types of personal information we receive and collect when you visit and use Astrolibrary's website, astrolibrary.org ("we," "us," and "our website"), and how we safeguard your information.

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on Astrolibrary's website.

The Information We Collect, How We Use It, and How To Remove Your Information

We never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described below without first receiving consent from you, and also providing you an opportunity to opt out, or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Birth Data

We collect birth data only for our two paid reports, and we do not share this information with any third party. Paid reports are those that you purchase for a fee. The paid reports are collectively called the "Premium Reports Forms" and there are only two of them:


The types of personal information that users submit at these pages are (collectively, the "Birth Data"):

Name
Date of birth
Time of birth
City and state/country of birth

When you place an order on one of the Premium Report Forms, we use the Birth Data you provide only to complete that order. We have a legitimate interest in collecting this data since it's required for us to create your astrology report that you purchased. The Birth Data is used only to create the astrology report which you ordered. Birth Data is destroyed after 30 days if you purchased a Relationship Report, or 34 days if you purchased a 1-Month term for the "Transits Horoscope Daily Report," or 187 days if you purchased a 6-Month term for the "Transits Horoscope Daily Report," unless your term is extended for your "Transits Horoscope Daily Report," in which case your birth data is destroyed one (1) day after your term ends. This time period allows us to facilitate you in case you want to change or correct the details of your order. After that time period, the Birth Data is permanently deleted. To opt out, do not use the Premium Report Forms. If you have already used the Premium Report Forms, and you want your birth data deleted immediately, you can request the immediate permanent removal of your personal data by contacting us on our contact page, and please give the email address that you used on the Premium Report Forms, and we will permanently delete your personal data from our server.

Birth Data That We do NOT Collect

We DO NOT COLLECT birth data on the pages where you can generate free astrology charts and create free astrology reports.

Those free forms use the birth data only to instantaneously generate the requested report and return the results in your own web browser. WE DO NOT COLLECT OR STORE THE BIRTH DATA THAT YOU SUBMIT INTO THOSE FREE FORMS. BIRTH DATA IS LOST AS SOON AS THE FORM IS SUBMITTED AND YOUR RESULT IS DISPLAYED TO YOU.

BIRTH DATA SUBMITTED INTO ANY OF THE FREE ASTROLOGY CALCULATORS OR FREE REPORT GENERATORS ON OUR WEBSITE IS NOT STORED NOR SAVED. Once a user submits those Forms with their birth information, that data is used instantaneously to generate a report, and then the data is lost. It is not saved with cookies or to any database. This applies to the following list of pages (collectively, the "Free Forms"):

Email Addresses

Email Addresses on Premium Report Forms

When you place an order on one of the Premium Report Forms, we collect an email address. We use the email addresses entered on the Premium Report Forms to deliver the report. We have a legitimate interest in collecting this email address since it's required for us to deliver the report that your order. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose. Email addresses are destroyed after 30 days if you purchased a Relationship Report, or 34 days if you purchased a 1-Month term for the "Transits Horoscope Daily Report," or 187 days if you purchased a 6-Month term for the "Transits Horoscope Daily Report," unless your term is extended for your "Transits Horoscope Daily Report," in which case your birth data is destroyed one (1) day after your term ends. Email Addresses on Comment and Review Forms

When you submit a comment or review on our website's comment forms or review forms (collectively, the "Comment Forms"), we collect the email address that you enter ("Commenter's Email Address") and we store it along with your comment or review.

We collect your Commenter's Email Address on the Comment Forms only to provide you with email notifications of comment responses (where you've specifically requested them). We do not pass this information to third parties, it is purely for notification purpose. Your Commenter's Email Address is never displayed publicly on our website. If you want your comments, or reviews, and Commenter's Email Address deleted from our website, you can request their permanent removal by contacting us on our contact page, and please give the email address that you used as the "Commenter's Email Address."

Email Addresses on Contact Form

When you contact us on our contact page (the "Contact Form"), the email address and message that you submit is directly sent to us via email. This email address and message is not stored in our database. We have a legitimate interest in collecting this email address since it's required for us to reply to your message. We use your email address from the Contact Form as a return email addresses, to reply to the message we receive from you. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and we never share them with outside parties. The email message, along with the email address, are permanently deleted from our mailbox within 120 days of when we respond, and usually sooner.

Email Addresses From Regular Email

When you send us a regular email, we use the return email addresses, from email that we receive, to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and we never share them with outside parties. These email messages along with the email addresses are permanently deleted within 120 days of when we respond, and usually sooner.

Payment Data

Astrolibrary does not store your payment card/wallet information at any time, nor do we have sight of any payment card/wallet details that you enter when paying for our Services.

On the Premium Report Forms, if you choose to pay for your order using a credit or debit card or wallet such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, this payment information, and the total amount of payment, is sent directly to our third party payment services processor, Stripe, in accordance with a Data Processing Agreement between Astrolibrary and Stripe, whose headquarters are at 510 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. We never see or store your card or wallet numbers but we are notified if the transaction succeeds or fails. We do not share your birth data or email address with Stripe.

If you choose to pay for your order using PayPal, we never access your financial data. We are notified that a transaction has either succeeded or failed. We share with PayPal only the total amount of your payment; we do not share your birth data or email address with PayPal.

We require Stripe and PayPal to maintain levels of security that are adequate and appropriate to protect your information in accordance with all applicable legislation.

Limitations Upon Rights to Delete Payment Data

Sales records and data (collectively, the "Payment Data") held by our payment vendors (PayPal, Stripe) are retained by them for a minimum of 7 years, to comply with taxation/auditing laws. Payment Data will be deleted at the end of the provision by which storage of the Payment Data is required or authorized by Applicable Law.

Cookies

We at Astrolibrary do not use cookies or web beacons. However, Stripe, our third party payment services processor, may use cookies only on the two Premium Report Forms pages in order to prevent fraud and according to Stripe's own privacy policy.

Request Your Personal Information

If you have reason to believe that we have your personal information, you can request your personal information from us, and if we do have it, we will give you access to your data in the form of a copy of your personal data, as well as relevant information such as our lawful basis for having the data, how we use or process your data, how we safeguard it, how long we'll store it, and any third parties whom we shared it with.

You can request your personal information on our contact page or email us at the email address listed at the bottom of this page, and please give the email address you used on our website. If we cannot verify you by email, we will ask for a copy of a government-issued identification showing your date of birth, and another document showing your mailing address, in order to verify you before we can provide you with a copy of your personal information.

Things We Do Not Do

We do not collect your IP address when you submit a comment or review on our website's Comment Forms.

We do not collect your personal information when you use the Free Forms.

We at Astrolibrary do not implement any personal-data-based automated decision-making, and we do not collect the type of data that is subject to data portability rights.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We store your data on a secure private server located in the United States of America. We practice Data Minimization techniques to safeguard your data.

Our Commitment To Children's Privacy

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Your Rights

All users of our website have all the rights described above, including the right to object to, restrict, or opt out of, our processing of your data, and the right to information about your data.

If we have any of your personal information, you have the right to access your data, which you can do by requesting your personal information, the steps of which are described above. You also have the right to have us erase your data (the steps of which are described above for each type of data). You also have the right to rectify your data, which you can do by contacting us at our contact information provided at the end of this notice.
