Tips For House Systems Tables

This calculator will show you two tables.

  1. The first table is called “Planets and Points House Positions By House System.” It tells you the house number that each of your planets is in, for multiple house systems. For example, if you want to see which houses your planets are in for the Equal house system, you find “Equal” in the left column, and you read that row from left to right.

On the other hand, you can use the table to see if your Sun is in the same house for all house systems. In that case, you would find the “Sun” column and look at it from top to bottom to see if its number is the same all the way down.

  2. You’ll also see a House Cusps table that lists the exact degrees of your house cusps in multiple house systems. This table shows you what sign your house cusps are in. You can read the descriptions for each sign on your house cusps on the House Cusps Interpretations page.

The twelve house systems that are included on these tables are Alcabitius, Campanus, Equal, Koch, Meridian (axial rotation system), Morinus, Placidus, Porphyry, Regiomontanus, Topocentric (Polich/Page), Vehlow, and Whole Sign Houses.

  1. Hi there. Curious what my chart shows for family conditions/environment during early formative years.
    Thank you

I was born in Moscow, Russia and I am not seeing it in the options when I type in ‘Moscow’. Does this website not include other countries besides US and Canada?

Moscow, Russia is listed right above Moscow, Canada. Did you try scrolling down past the US states? I see it listed right after the US states, and before Canada.

  3. Would be great if there is an option to use sidereal zodiac. Thank you.

Thank you so much for this information,
How then be accurate with those influences? Does it mean that we have 2 or 3 different houses to work on for each planet and sign?
    Blessings
    Stephanie

  6. Thank you for providing such an interesting and useful tool. :-)

  8. Hello curious what it all means can there be some interpretation? Ty :3

The accuracy of chart interpretation should not be thought of in terms of the house system but the personal perspective and unconscious understanding of the symbolism as used by the Astrologer. This can only be tested out in practice and with deep personal self-knowledge and awareness on the part of the interpreter. Self-observation of the Astrologer’s own life and recognition of how the planetary signification plays out through direct experience are the source of the vocabulary drawn from and with which the Astrologer can then read for others. The Astrologer should make use of many different systems initially to discover which one method or system resonates most with his/her unique perspective. Whether one system is correct or not is really just a fallacy. It’s the Astrologer who has the ability to discern accurately truth from fantasy.

    • I most definitely agree. I’m having a tough time recognizing if Saturn is in my 11th or 12th house. I have tons of squares and oppositions to my moon and mercury yet with Saturn I have positive aspects.

    Thank you for this comparison!

  11. This is very useful thank you!

I am really wondering which system works the best because having so many of them does makes astrology even more complicated.
I am used to use Placidus and was using it for so long last 30 years and everything seems to match that chart but now when I go deeply into whole signs system I see some less positieve things and it really makes me wonder “haven’t I just believed in the wrong thing”.

For example ruller of my Gemini ascendant is in Capricorn in 9 house in all quadrant systems and it really speaks to me because I moved my birth country (9th house) when i was 17 years old. In whole housen system ruller is in 8th house where I do not feel any connection to.
Also ruller of 4th house (Sun) in in Placidus is at cups of 9th house and in whole signs system is in 8th house.
So far I remember , I never had anything with “8 house stuff” but I just had transit of Pluto conjunction to my Sun and now is on Mercury and I start to recognize a lot of “Plutonic” stuff or 8th house stuff in me and it truly makes me confused what is true because I don’t know anymore which house system applies to my experience. It makes even more difficult because analyzing our own chart is “too subjective” and we are less able to see what really is happening. We choose to see/read what “we want to see”. Does anyone recognize the same issue?

What’s my 12th house like what sign is in my 12th house it doesn’t say anything about if I have for example aries in my 12th house or libra in 12th house just tell me and stop sugar coding

This is most useful system. being a kp astrologer, it would help in future. i follow kp systemof astrology which translate astronomical massage into astrological language.
which invented by Prof. K.S.Krishnamurti ji. A Legend who transformed the entire astrological system, who include every scientific and logical Astrological information available till his death, and keep open to include to add new finding after 100 test, saying ” last chapter yet to written” it is continuous process, every day second some thing new comp up.
i m practicing this first eqall house division for 14 years before 30 years switch over to placidus house. i want to test it on now tropical system .

  14. I don’t usually see people using Sidereal house system Campanus and Lahiri together or Fagan Bradley, but have found these resonate the best with my chart. It’d be nice to see more degree theory!

    • Campanus uses the prime vertical which means the houses ‘emanate’ from the local place rather than being forced into it from an external point; therefore, it is best used when determining planetary strength as in Astrocartography or solar returns

  15. You need to check your software settings for daylight savings time. For example Cincinnati Ohio in the late 1950s was not using daylight savings time!

    • Astrology Library on said:

I’m sorry, some years before 1970 may have the Daylight Savings time wrong, and please note that is the reason for the “Tip” below the submit button:

“Tip: Make sure the UTC time offset is correct. If it’s wrong, you can change it.”

You’re able to change the time offset. For example, if it says -5, you can change it to -4 or -6 as needed.
