Abscission, Frustration
Definition of Abscission:
From the Latin abscissio, cut off. Used in horary astrology to describe the interruption or cutting off of an incomplete aspectbetween two planets by a faster-moving third planet, which apsects either of the first two planets before their aspect reaches partile. For example, assume that Mars is in 20° Cancer applying to a trine with Uranus in 26° Scorpio, and the Moon in in 3° Leo. Before Mars can close its aspect with Uranus, the faster-moving Moon will exactly square Uranus, thus effectively cutting off the potential of the trine. Abscission is synonymous with hindrance and frustration.
