Here are Jeb Bush’s astrological strengths and weaknesses as they relate to the US Presidential Election. These are things in Jeb’s astrological birth chart that would help him during the election season, and also factors that may work against him.

Jeb Bush is a 2016 US Presidential Candidate who is seeking the Republican Party nomination.

Jeb Bush was born on February 11, 1953.

Strengths in Jeb Bush’s Birth Chart

Jeb Bush has Virgo rising, and this should be considered a strength because its one of the most common Rising Signs found among all US Presidents in history.

Jeb’s Mercury is his chart ruler since it rules his Rising Sign of Virgo. Mercury is in detriment in Pisces, which means that Jeb Bush has an impressionable and intuitive mind. However, Jeb’s Mercury makes a Quintile aspect to Jupiter. This gives Jeb a uniquely talented mind and makes him a gifted communicator.

Jeb’s Midheaven in Gemini, Sun in Aquarius, and Virgo Rising combine to make Jeb Bush an intellectual who also appears smart. Looking smart is a strength during an election.

Jeb’s Sun is in a Grand Trine with his Midheaven and Neptune/Saturn. This can certainly help him ease his way right into a successful career.

Jeb’s Pluto turns this Grand Trine into a Kite pattern, making a sextile to his Midheaven and to Neptune-Saturn. Pluto in sextile aspect to his Midheaven can be a secret (or behind-the-scene) helper regarding his career.

Neptune is part of this configuration. Normally, Neptune making any aspect to the Midheaven can easily make a mess of your career (unless you’re in the film industry or performing arts which Jeb, clearly, is not). Normally, Neptune here could magically give you the career of your dreams, or it could dissolve your career into a fantasy that never materializes. Neptune is like the Chesire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, so we couldn’t be sure of the outcome.

However, in Jeb Bush’s case, Neptune is conjunct to his exalted Saturn. This conjunction only happens once every 36 years, and it’s definitely a strength for Jeb. This is a real key to success since it gives a “practical idealism” which allows Jeb to solidly carry out his ideals and make them real. Jeb’s exalted Saturn is able to contain Neptune and gives a solid ground to his inspirations. President Abraham Lincoln and President John F. Kennedy both had this conjunction, also in connection to their Midheavens.[1][2]

Jeb Bush also has his Part of Fortune conjunct to his Saturn-Neptune conjunction. This enhances the wonderful energy even more. (Not to mention, this denotes colossal wealth, but that’s not a big shocker.) Jeb Bush will need to draw on this energy to help him overcome the weaknesses which are detailed below.

Weaknesses and/or Neutral Things in Jeb Bush’s Birth Chart

Jeb Bush’s Sun is weak on his 6th House cusp, and it’s also in detriment, in Aquarius. According to traditional astrology, having a weak Sun can ruin Jeb’s chance to achieve his greatest potential.

Jeb’s Sun is in opposition to Pluto, and this is the focus in his birth chart. This means that a very powerful person in his life blocks him from achieving his greatest potential. (Hmmm, I wonder who that could be.)

To help soften the pain of this aspect, Jeb’s Sun-Pluto opposition makes a T-Square with Jupiter. Jupiter can (possibly, but not guaranteed, because it’s a wide orb) give him the necessary good favor to overcome this difficult aspect. Since Jeb’s Sun is in detriment, there is more weakness than strength, here. The overall theme, which has now been emphasized twice in Jeb’s chart, is that Jeb Bush is hindered from his greatest potential.

Jeb Bush has both luminaries (Sun and Moon) in detriment. According to traditional astrology, this is huge barrier to success. Jeb also has Mercury and Venus in detriment. This many planets in detriment means that “the cards are stacked against him.” It doesn’t make success impossible, but it does provide plenty of obstacles.

Jeb’s detrimental Moon in Capricorn rules his 11th House of Hopes and Wishes, and it is square to Saturn/Neptune. This can prevent Jeb from attaining his dreams. (As stated above, Jeb can draw on the positive energy of his Saturn-Neptune conjunction which can help neutralize any negative energy.)

Other Factors Influencing Jeb Bush’s Outcome in The Presidential Election

Since December of 2014, Jeb Bush has been undergoing a transit square from Saturn to his Mercury. This presents a real problem for Jeb since Mercury is both the ruler of Jeb’s birth chart and of his Midheaven. So, Jeb will be sensitive to anything that affects Mercury, and it will affect his career.

During this transit, Jeb’s communication skills will be inhibited. People will tend to get the wrong message he speaks.

This influence was strongest on December 25, 2014 and again on June 11-12, 2015. This influence will be exact again on September 21, 2015.

This influence will be very strong during the next Republican Presidential Debate on September 16, 2015. This will almost definitely ruin Jeb Bush’s chances for effective communication in the debate. Saturn square Mercury literally restricts communication.

This negative influence will finally be gone from Jeb Bush’s life after the first week of October 2015. Jeb’s ability to communicate effectively will then return, but the damage to his campaign may be substantial. To mitigate the negative influence of this transit, Jeb Bush would need to prepare extensively before the debate.
