What’s Interesting About Transit Mars Conjunct Pluto

• Strange urges toward secrecy and hidden work: Mars making a conjunction to natal Pluto was believed to trigger a fascination with hidden motives, covert behavior, and in some cases, feelings of being spied on or a desire to operate “behind the scenes,” especially for those involved in research or undercover professions.
• Potential for sudden psychological regeneration: This transit often brings about a “psychic rebirth”- one might wake up one day feeling like a totally different person, often from processing buried traumas that come roaring to the surface.
• Obsession with physical transformation: People sometimes get caught up in intense fitness or health regimes during this transit, not necessarily for looks, but almost as a way to exert will power over the body, or control urges they can’t tackle psychologically.
• Prone to unusual power struggles in sibling or cousin relationships: These power struggles are subtler and more psychological, sometimes revolving around shared secrets or rivalries from childhood that unexpectedly resurface.
• Polarization effect, drawing intense people or situations: In some cases, you can act as a lightning rod for others’ anger, compulsions, or driving ambitions, not because of anything you do, but because Mars conjunct Pluto flips a “magnetism switch.”
• Mysterious rise of “ancestral will” or family patterns: This transit can bring up old family stories or inherited psychological patterns, almost as if you’re playing out someone else’s unfinished battles or desires.
• A period favorable for mechanical invention or solving longstanding technical problems: Mars-Pluto combinations lend “brute force” and “relentless searching” that sometimes unstick issues in engineering, science, or invention that have resisted progress for a long time.
• Unusual luck with recovery from things thought lost: In The Technique of Prediction (1987), Ronald C. Davison mentions that valuables, feelings, or relationships previously written off as gone might suddenly turn up or be restored, thanks to Pluto’s resurrecting vibe and Mars’ drive to reclaim.
