These are synastry overlay interpretations for Venus in the partner’s 7th, 8th, and 9th houses. (See instead: Venus overlays in 1st–3rd houses, or 4th–6th houses, or 10th–12th houses.)

Venus in 7th House Synastry Overlay

If your Venus is in your partner’s seventh house of a synastry overlay, you see them as a perfect type of partner. They have the kind of traits that you look for in a significant other. You’re romantically attracted to the house person, so you treat them automatically as a potential partner.

In fact, both of you complement each other. Where one of you is weak, the other is strong, and vice versa. You come together like interlocking pieces of a puzzle.

The house person feels very comfortable and satisfied in a relationship with you. The house person knows that they do not have to make compromises or accommodations for you because you already fit them like a glove. You (Venus person) meet their needs well.

With this overlay, your personalities blend well together. It feels natural for both of you to be close and intimate together. You may surprise yourselves by how easily and quickly you become intimate with each other. You’re both drawn to please each other.

This is a powerful overlay for marriage, and for any romantic/sexual relationship.

If the house person is also attracted to you (as shown by where their own Venus falls in your houses), then this overlay completes the union and is a good indicator for a long-term relationship.

With this overlay, it’s important to check if the house person also has a romantic attraction to you. If the house person is not attracted to you (based on where their Venus falls in your chart), then this 7th house overlay can cause much tension. The house person can feel like you invade their personal space. They may feel that you’re coming on too strongly, which would cause them to repel you. But, this scenario is unlikely if you’re already involved together. If you’re involved romantically, it’s far more likely that there’s a mutual attraction, and all the good stuff above applies to you.

Venus in 8th House Synastry Overlay

If your Venus is in your partner’s eighth house of a synastry overlay, you’re captivated by your partner. You feel completely subjugated and you give in to all of their impulses for pleasure. At the same time, you don’t try to run away. You’re enthralled at their requests, and you have a gut feeling that they can lead to you experience the deepest, darkest pleasure you could ever imagine. You find the house person very sexually attractive, and you willingly make yourself available to them.

Like a predator sensing weakness in its prey, the house person senses your inability to deny them any pleasure. They feel empowered by this, and they’ll have all kinds of wild, untamed fantasies of the two of you. They dream of doing things that they perhaps would never even consider in other relationships. You arouse the beast within the house person.

Venus in the partner’s 8th house is highly sexual, and even in relationships where sex is not an option, a sexual tension will be noticeable.

The sex in this relationship is not the “one-night stand” type. Rather, it’s emotionally deep, affecting both of you at a subconscious level. Since this is the 8th house, your involvement with each other will transform the both of you. The transformation process can be utterly painful, but it produces a new and improved “you.”

Venus in 9th House Synastry Overlay

If your Venus is in your partner’s ninth house of a synastry overlay, you sense that you have shared interests and you like doing the same things for pleasure. You may hang out in the same social circles, and you find that you get along well. You (the Venus person) take a positive and friendly approach with the house person.

The house person is very open and accepting of you. The most significant part of this overlay is that you (the Venus person) teach them to expand their views on pleasure, love, and relationships in general. You teach them how to have fun.

In addition, the house person probably sees you as someone with whom a future is possible.

This overlay is not deeply emotional, per se, but, it is a harmonious, satisfying, and positive influence on any relationship.

  1. Gorgeous !!

  2. Hi, these articles have been helpful. Could you please do Mars overlays? One person has Mars in my 5th and the other Mars in my 8th. Your interpretations have been much more accurate than others I’ve read.

  3. Xavier Williams on said:

Venus in the 8th house interpretation is backward. The House and Venus roles need to be switched around.

  4. Venus 8th & 9th house the tiles are reversed. 😂 Like this is literally the case in all of my relationships that have this synastry except it’s in reverse. The house person experiences what you claim the Venus person experiences

  5. First it depends on the natal chart who is affected more.
    Then the synastry.

People have landed many times with their planets in my house.

AS the house person, i decide whether i let them in or not, the house person is in control, sounds pretty obvious to me.

Planet are visitors imho, if a visitor comes into your house…who do you think is the boss? you who owns the house? or the visitor.

Sure the visitor can influence the house owner, but the house owner sets the boundaries.
